Optimum Channel Lineup

Optimum TV lineups cover 43 markets across Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and North Carolina. Channel numbers, tier names, and package structures vary between markets because Optimum's footprint combines the former Cablevision system in the New York metro area with regions acquired through Suddenlink and later consolidations.

Optimum is operated by Optimum Communications (formerly Altice USA), which acquired Cablevision in 2016 and Suddenlink Communications in 2015, then unified both systems under the Optimum brand by 2022. The corporate parent formally renamed itself from Altice USA to Optimum Communications in November 2025.

Tier names on Optimum are not consistent across all markets. Most locations use the current naming (Extra TV, Select TV), but several legacy markets still carry the older Cablevision-era tier structure with names like Basic TV, Core TV, Value TV, Everything TV, and Premier TV. If the tier names on your lineup page look different from what Optimum advertises nationally, that is likely because your market has not yet transitioned to the current naming.
